Wonderful Wednesday 12 of 2019
Happy Wonderful Wednesday Friends! How are we already in the latter half of March and the middle of this week?! I feel like time has all of a sudden sped up again! Let’s hop skip and a jump before I start banging on about the weather shall we…
THE Bike Ride.
If you’ve been around these parts for a while, you’ll know this bike ride has been a long time coming. Cat Dad has spent years researching the bike he wanted, weeks researching the helmet and we were finally able to get out on the bikes on Sunday. I told Cat Dad where I planned on taking us, I thought he realised how far away it was…it turns out he wasn’t quite expecting a 32km cycle. Oops! We did have a scrumptious lunch of tomato bread followed by a crisp, crunchy Granny Smith apple - my favourite!
I’ve been setting my alarm for half an hour earlier for the past few days, waking up at 5:30 to fit in yoga and meditation and it really has popped that pep back into my step. I'm feeling all kinds of wonderful for being able to fit in that quiet time just for myself again. I kept meaning to do yoga when I got home from work each evening, but everything else seemed to take priority. First thing early morning is definitely the way forward for me.
I do love a little shelf reorganisation! I clear the bookshelves, clean them and pop things back in a different order. It just adds a fresh little pop to the dining room every now and then.
I went on a school trip with year 1 yesterday and had such a wonderful time. Watching the fish is always relaxing for me and I loved hearing all of the fish facts from the lovely lady who gave us the guided tour. I kept taking photos and writing down all of the little facts, I just can’t help myself, I love a fact!
I’ve had the song Blackbird by The Beatles in my head since yesterday, I adore it and love the lyrics. If you haven’t listened to it in a while, have a little listen, it never fails to make me smile and feel wonderfully calm.
I’ve been taking Instagram down to the beach with me each morning on my walk along the shore before I start my day, I love watching the waves and the messages I receive from my lovely friends on the gram shows how much just seeing it on the screen can change their mood too. There really is something soothing about the sound of the sea isn’t there?
That’s my little weekly round up of wonderfulness, I’d love to hear about the little things that have popped a smile on your face this week.
Sending lots of love and cat cuddles your way,
Cat Mum x
