I've spent the past two months putting together homemade advent calendars for loved ones. At times it has been slightly stressful, I may have thrown the sellotape across the room and scrunched pieces that have stuck together in the ball of my hand in a fit of fury. However, now that today has finally arrived, the look on my family member's faces was worth every minute spent making these advent calendars.
Christmas for me is all about celebrating happy times, showing how much those around you mean to you and rejoicing in all that is the run up to Christmas. The build up is what I live for and throughout December I enjoy every moment, it is such a special time of year for me and I try to make it as magical as I possibly can for those around me.
Each little gift, is pretty much a "stocking filler" gift, it includes a small present, a chocolate or sweet and a note or festive joke. (I'm reaaaaally hoping my nearest and dearest don't read this post, I will be asking them not to!)
Every gift has a number stuck to it.
I wanted to share this as I thought it may inspire others to spread a little magic this season, after all if you can't do it at Christmas, when can you?
I even made little boxes of treats for their cats and dogs. The santa gift boxes, wrapping paper and washi tape are all from Tiger.
With less than a month to go now, I think I can happily say that I wish you the Merriest of Christmases this year and I hope that you'll be joining me in spreading the love, positivity, sparkle, magic and joy this year.
