How To Cook Black Beans | 24 Seconds In The Kitchen
One of my favourite staples to add to meals, enjoy with curry and pop in a salad has to be black beans. I really love the taste and texture and find them to be very filling and a great alternative to rice or pasta.
Here is a very short (24 seconds in fact!) video on how I prepare mine. If you wanted to make a salad you could then add salad ingredients in afterwards. I just like to keep a tupperware in the fridge with some ready made to add to meals when I'm in a rush.
Black Bean Ingredients:
- Dried black beans
- Salt and pepper
- Apple cider vinegar
Soak the beans in a bowl ovenight, drain and rinse. Pop in a saucepan with water covering them and boil for around two hours. (I know, reaaaally long time but they are worth it!) You may find that you need to top the water up. Once cooked drain and add a dash of apple cider vinegar or lemon juice and season with salt and pepper.
