Orange Burst Smoothie

There's something about the total body class I puff and sweat my way through at 7:30am on a Tuesday morning that truly makes me crave a smoothie bowl afterwards. The absolute hell of this 60 minute long cardio torture is so worth it for the exhilarating feeling of achievement seconds after finishing the workout. (I actually really enjoy the class.) This morning's smoothie bowl is a little bit special with it's citrus tang and crunchy topping. Please give a very warm welcome to the one, the only Orange Burst Smoothie. (I just came up with that name, quite like it...)

Orange Burst Smoothie.


  • 2 Oranges
  • 2 Cups of rice milk
  • 1 Tablespoon of honey
  • Handful of almonds
  • 2 Cups of oats
  • Topping: chia seeds, ground coconut and chopped loquat fruit


Pop the oats and nuts into a blender, blitz to form a flour, add the rice milk, honey and chopped oranges. Whizz around for a few mins and pour into a bowl. Top with chia seeds, ground coconut and chopped loquat fruit. If you can't get loquats peaches or plums would also be amazing for this smoothie bowl. <3
