Overnight Oats | On The Go Recipe


Hello hello! Happy Tuesday lovelies <3, as I went about my usual late night routine last night, feeding the cats, unplugging EVERYTHING in sight, making my breakfast for the morning and finally brushing my teeth, I realised I've never really done a simple overnight oats recipe on the blog. I've done fancy ones like my Strawberry & Blueberry Overnight Oats , but not my every day breakfast pot that I pop in my gym bag as I run out of the door in the morning. I always eat it walking to work whilst listening to a podcast.

So anyway, on with the yumminess. This is my every day apple and sultana overnight oats. I usually make at least two pots at a time sometimes enough for the whole week so that I don't need to worry about breakfasts until the weekend.

This recipe makes two pots - I use little plastic pots to keep mine is as they won't break in my bag.

Overnight Oats

Overnight Oats Ingredients:

  • 2 Cups of rolled oats
  • 1 Cup of milk - I use rice milk.
  • Half an apple
  • 1 Handful of sultanas
  • Almond Butter - I sometimes use honey
  • Bee's Pollen - optional!
  • 1 Handful of almonds

In a bowl mix the oats and milk, if I'm including honey I'll also pop that into the mix. Now layer the oat mixture at the bottom of the pot, thinly slice the apple and place on top, sprinkle sultanas and bee's pollen over that and then repeat. Finally add almonds and nut butter on top. Pop in the fridge overnight.

These will easily keep in the fridge for five days.
