Plant Based Spaghetti Bolognese | Plant Based Meals
Plant based spaghetti bolognese .- all the yumminess of a meat bolognese and really rather simple to make!
- 2 Onions
- 3 Garlic cloves
- Coconut oil
- 1 Red bell pepper
- 15 mushrooms
- 1 Tin of tomato purée
- 1 Cup of water
- 3 tbsp of rosemary
- 3 tbsp of oregano
- Salt & Pepper
- Spaghetti pasta (I used gluten free quinoa spaghetti.)
Heat a tsp of coconut oil in a large pan. Add the chopped onions and garlic and cook until golden brown and soft. Add the chopped red pepper, and mushrooms. Stir well. Now add the tomato purée, water, rosemary and oregano. Bring to the boil and leave to simmer for about 10-15 mins. This is when you cook your spaghetti pasta! Once cooked, rinse and drain and add to your sauce. Stir in well.
Enjoy! I love topping mine with seeds like flaxseeds, sunflower seeds, chia seed and a handful of crushed walnuts too!
