What do you snack on?
Snacks fuel my day, they give me a reason to stop for a little break, regroup and nourish my body. I think we can so often get stuck in a rut with snacks and I don't know about you, but I often get snack envy when I spot what colleagues and friends are enjoying! I got in touch with a few of my online favourites and asked them what their all time, number one snack is, here's what they had to say.
My favourite snacks.
My favourites have to be dark chocolate covered rice cakes - either shop bought or just a rice cake enjoyed with a square or two of dark chocolate! I love having a handful of walnuts with this. I really enjoy fresh fruit cut up - cut up is the important part because it feels a little more special, I love an apple, nectarine or strawberries cut up and in a little bowl for a snack.
Autumnal and Winter snacks are all about what goes best with a cup of tea. I'm partial to a homemade brownie - these are no bake brownies which you pop in the microwave quickly before enjoying, they are ever so satisfying and make my mouth water just typing about them! I also love a nice biscuit with a cup of tea, chocolate popcorn balls or a granola bar. Another go to snack is boiled eggs, I find them really filling and perfect as a mid-morning snack which I can prepare the night before.
