Good morning and happy Wonderful Wednesday. I love pausing mid week to note down the lovely little things that have made me smile.
My beloved, very old, phone broke last week and I was upset about losing all of the memories inside - no unfortunately, it wasn’tbacked up. Then I realised, those memories are safely nestled within this blog, within each Wonderful Wednesday, filled with tiny little things that have made my week. Huge things that have changed my life, photos and videos, feelings and moments. They’re all here. That’s pretty wonderful I think.
There’s the time we went to Paris, the backwards and forwards of a long distance relationship, Cat Dad moving country to live with me, the tales (and tails) of my four munchkins, the changing of seasons, adventures, home days, garden pottering and beach walks. Cups of tea, smoothies, bakes and makes. It’s all here and that’s worth so much more than any number my analytics page could show me. So, if you’ve found yourself hung up on follower/visitor numbers, have a thinkwhat else your blog or instagram offers you. It’s a place to save the memories, to relive the moments and create a little hub of you.
Shall we get on with the wonderful?
We have some lovely colourful new additions to our plant family. They have really brightened the window sills, I especially love the hanging ones!
Goodness me I made a good curry on Monday night. It was a total experiment and included a pasta sauce left over from a few days before. I do love a curry.
Queer Eye Season 3
Oh my, oh my, oh my, it’s just one of my absolute favorites. I adore Queer Eye and I cry at every episode I watch!!
Toast and Chocolate Spread
My lovely mum has been trying to make a Peta Friendly loaf of bread since January, she absolutely nailed it this weekend and I’ve been enjoying toast for breakfast with a chocolate spread made of pure cacao powder and honey. That, with a cup of tea, makes me feel all kinds of wonderful first thing in the morning!
Early mornings are back!
After that cold flooring me last week, I was getting up a little later. Prioritising sleep is always always always a good idea when I’m feeling under the weather. I’m happy that the early starts are back, giving me time to fit in yoga, meditation and a moment or two to jot down a few things I’m grateful for.
The New Washing Machine
Oh my goodness, it’s shiny and sparkly and does a quick wash. The normal wash is only 45 mins which is a huge huge huge improvement on our old one. It means I can pop washing in when I wake up and have it hanging on the line before I go to work. Yay!
The time change always throws me, but I have to say I am adoring the longer days. It feels like there’s more time to DO things. Does anyone else feel like this?
I have started sharing more on learning to eat intuitively, discovering joyful movement and tackling body image and confidence issues on my Instagram stories. I want to help as many people as I can, in fact I’ve set myself the goal of helping 1000 people in six months. I’m not quite sure how I’ll measure that, but I’m putting it out there and hopefully the universe has my back!
Wilma the Wash Basket
I have longed after Wilma for 4 months and yesterday she arrived! She's grey and soft and truly is every kind of wonderful!!
