Wonderful Wednesday 17 of 2018
Oh my goodness, happy bloomin’ Wonderful Wednesday my loves! I’ve just arrived back from a school trip with Year 1 to the Botanical Gardens in Barcelona and it was truly such a lovely day out. If you’re ever in Barcelona, I highly recommend it. They have such a wide variety of gorgeous plants which share the same climate as us here. The gardens are divided up into countries and places, with Australia, Chile and California to mention just a few. We didn’t manage to get around the whole garden, as little feet can only walk so fast, so I’ll definitely be visiting again soon with Cat Dad. They even had a ‘Bee Hotel’ which I found fascinating!
In other Wonderful news this week, we thoroughly enjoyed the long Easter weekend. Cat Dad worked on Friday and arrived home to a garden Easter hunt for chocolate eggs, lambs and bunnies with my parents and sister. Not before doing one of his best Instagram Story Waves to date - the T-Rex wave. We had a lot of fun in the garden and I generally acted as the Hot/Cold Police, advising participants on where to look once they’d done the rounds 4 times! I do love a little fun.
On Sunday evening we went to my parents’ for an Easter roast dinner, this turned into an after dinner Gin Party which got rather rowdy! I danced with my mum for 3 hours straight and insisted on showing her my ballet moves. GUESS WHAT! I’m taking a taster class in Ballet For Adults (BEGINNERS!!) tonight and I am BEYOND excited. I have 0 coordination, absolutely no rhythm or dance knowledge, however I have always wanted to try ballet and a friend from work said she’s up for it too and is equally as hopeless when it comes to being graceful as me. I’m hoping it’s going to be lots of fun, as you know, my rule is only move in joyful ways. So, if it’s not a laugh, I won’t be signing up to the weekly classes.
In garden news the little Sunflower Tribe is doing well my dears, I’m sat right next to them tip tapping this Wonderful List out, they’re growing strong and really look as though they’re doing very well indeed! I cleaned our triangle table which is looking magnificent for Summer, it took a lot of elbow grease but I’m so pleased with the result. I’m spending far too much time perusing Pinterest for ideas for that area now.
In Netflix News, we finished After Life, and goodness me, I kept on about it on the old Instagram stories because it’s just fantastic. I’ve also mentioned it to everyone I’ve come into contact with offline!! I’ve never really been a Ricky Gervais fan, but I absolutely LOVED this series. Beautifully written and so funny. I highly recommend a watch. We also watched The Perfect Date last night which was one of those gloriously cheesy Rom Coms that I am totally here for.
In food news I made such a yummy green curry last night, I’m going to re-make it this weekend to pop the recipe up on the blog. I also need to photograph my strawberry jam so that I can add that recipe on here too. I’ll add it to my ever growing to do list ;).
In Cat news, Arthur Bear is being a very naughty Bear at the moment and I think it’s jealousy induced. So we’re giving him extra attention and cuddles which I’m hoping should balance out the behaviour. Fingers crossed! My friends tell me I mother my cats far too much…it’s at times when I’m saying to Cat Dad “We need to praise him whenever he does something good and make sure he’s getting attention because he’s not in the habit of coming over to cuddle us at the moment! This is vitally important!” that I start to see where they’re coming from…
In Nourishing Soulfully news, Ally Grace Muir interviewed me for her podcast Continuously Brave on Friday which was ever so much fun. Our chat gave me such a boost and got me really thinking about how I can continue to share my knowledge with you lovely souls.
And, finally, in Cat Mum news I’m feeling rather bloody exhausted! My hangover of Monday seems to have flooded into Tuesday AND Wednesday. I’m really looking forward to ballet though which will give me a boost - I seem to be loving that word this week.
That’s my Wonderful for this week, here’s a photo of my Mischievous Bear, because whilst he is very naughty, he can rarely do wrong in my eyes. May the rest of your week be peppered with lovely little wonderful things.
