Wonderful Wednesday 18 of 2019
Hello Hello Hello my lovelies, it’s that time again, Wonderful Wednesday where I pause for a moment and take stock of all the lovely little, ordinary wonderful and sometimes not so ordinary wonderful going on in my life. The cats are of course, always included, as is tea. There’s usually something to do with a beach walk or two and of course, more tea.
So, last Saturday we went out with a few friends to watch some live music which was ever so lovely, it reminded me of being on holiday and really set that Summer buzz going in my tummy. Then on Sunday we hopped on our bicycles and cycled as far as our little legs could take us. We had such a brilliant time, we discovered some new to us towns and took in all the sunshine. We ended up cycling 35km, which is around 21 miles. What I loved most about it was that we were moving because it made us happy, exercising to enjoy a day out and not to punish our bodies or lose weight. Joyful movement is the ONLY kind of movement I’m interested in now a days, hence going to beginners ballet again tonight - gosh I’m thoroughly excited might I tell you!
When we got as far as our little legs could take us, we found the nearest train station, a few minutes away, got some sandwiches and jumped on the train back home. We then had some yummy Sushi for dinner as we were both totally cream crackered!
Tina Bear gave us so many cuddles, the poor little munchkin is on even more medication again as she caught a cold. I’ve had some fantastic recommendations for feline supplements which I’ve ordered, so if they work well for her I’ll let the cat parents out there, who follow the blog or Instagram know.
At the weekend I also sent out a newsletter on not having just one sole purpose in life but rather doing things with purpose. I loved hearing back from some wonderful souls. If you’re not on the list but would like to receive it, just pop a message over and I can send a copy out to you.
I also potted up the rest of the sunflowers and my strawberry plant at the weekend, they’re doing so well. I can’t wait of them to flower now. We’ve had rather grey cloudy weather so far this week but the birds seem to be chirping away lots, I wonder if there are more bugs flying about for them to munch on?!
I also watched the new Brenee Brown film on Netflix about courage and vulnerability and how you can’t have one without the other and I thought it was absolutely fantastic. I really, hugely, highly, totally and utterly recommend watching it, it’s only an hour and 15 minutes long. I’ve also been totally obsessed with the podcast Table Manners by Jessie Ware and her mum where they interview incredible people, many whom are famous, over a meal. I loved today’s episode with Carly Rae Jepsen.
Things have definitely been a little loopy here over the past week or so, I’ve been covering after school clubs and we’ve had such busy weekends that I am very much looking forward to a quiet weekend at home this week. Early nights are needed and lots of comforting food, I made a veggie Bolognese with cauliflower as the mince last night and it worked really well.
That’s my wonderful for this week, I hope you’re having a delightful one and can take a moment to take stock of your week so far.
Sending ever so much love and cat cuddles your way,
Peta & The Bears xx
