Wonderful Wednesday Número 20 Of 2018
Hello, hello, hello and a very warm welcome to Wonderful Wednesday, the weekly blog post where I share my happy moments of the week so far - I usually end up throwing in a few lovely bits and bobs from the weekend in too mind! I hope you're having a super duper day and that this mid-week list of gloriousness pops a huge smile on your face and makes you think of all the teeny tiny sparkles of magic in your life. Before I continue to ramble on any longer, I think we'd better begin. As always, please make sure you've got a steaming hot beverage right next to you and your sat comfortably. Let's begin.
.: A Saturday Meltdown.
Why on earth did this make the list I hear you cry?! Well everyone has meltdowns, especially this crazy cat lady, but what really made it all better was the fact that I had Fraser here, who makes me feel all kinds of wonderful all the time. He had an in case of emergency bar of chocolate hidden away which he promptly whipped out. Everything got a little too much for me and writing it all down in this post Is It Worth It? Really helped to clear my mind and get everything in order!
.: A Day Trip To Montserrat.
On Sunday we ventured to Montserrat, a mountain about two hours away from where I live. It has a breathtaking basilica and the views are out of this world. We vlogged a little of it, probably one of my favourite videos yet and Fraser makes me giggle far too much.
.: Stuffed Jacket Potatoes.
Holy goodness me, I can't tell you how obsessed I am with these. They have taken over from the carrot cake pancakes. I was popping some jackets in the oven for dinner on Sunday and the thought suddenly hit me, why not stuff them?! So I baked the jacket potatoes, having previously rubbed them in olive oil, sea salt and rosemary. Then I scooped out the fluffy potato once they were fully baked, mixed in tuna, sweetcorn, salt and pepper. Drizzled on some olive oil and a sprinkle of hot paprika and popped them back in the oven for ten minutes. I can't begin to bloomin' well explain just what these have done for me. For starters I can prepare them the night before, keep them in the fridge and pop them in the oven when I get home from work.
Frase and I finally ventured onto the Dynasty bandwagon, I'm not gonna lie...I'm also obsessed with this. I seem to obsess over many things don't I?! I'm an all or nothing kinda cat lady, it has to be said! If you haven't seen it before I'd describe it as the love child of Gossip Girl meets How To Get Away With Murder. I can't wait to watch another episode tonight!!
.: Teaaaaaa glorious teaaaaaaaaaaaaaa.
We allllll know it wouldn't be one of my happiness lists without an ode to tea because I am an actual tea-aholic. This week I've been enjoying just the usual black tea on it's own and soooooometimes a hot chocolate matcha because my oh my is that a wonderful treat on a tough day!
.: Shampoo & Conditioner.
I adore the L'Oreal Botanicals range. It's a little pricier but it really seems to agree with my scalp, which is very prone to eczema and very few products to the job. I adore the smell too and my hair always feels ever so floaty and shiny after a wash.
.: Car Rental.
We rented a car for the two weeks that Fraser is here so that we can both get out and about when I'm at work as well as go on day trips at the weekend - unfortunately old Betsy can't reaaaaaally be trusted. She's a wonderful car but I wouldn't like to take her too far from home!
.: Wander Luce Podcast With Rosie.
Lucy interviewed Rosie on her podcast this week and I really enjoyed listening to how she got into blogging and her blogging journey. You can have a listen here.
.: Chilly Mornings.
It's still pretty chilly here at the moment, which is unheard of in Barcelona in May! We've had temperatures of 7'c yesterday morning and I am living for it! It's so lovely to wake up this time of year and need socks and a dressing gown knowing that in a few hours the sun will warm everywhere up and little more than a light jacket will be needed - please stay like this forever weather!
.: Little Paper Flowers.
There have been many of these gorgeous flowers lately, they're not really paper but they always remind me of little crepe paper flowers, so soft and delicate.
That's all the wonderful for this week lovelies, please do hop on over and check out the other Wonder Women who take part in Wonderful Wednesday on a regular basis here: Sally, Jo, Helen, Michelle, Sarah, Kate, Cat, Sam, El& Laura
Sending lots of love your way,
