Wonderful Wednesday #24 | 2017
Good morning friends, happy Wonderful Wednesday! I really need this little happy list this week as I'm feeling rather sorry for myself with an eye infection and some kind of virus! Taking stock of the week always puts me in such a great mood and makes me feel a thousand times better, that along with tea and cat cuddles of course! Shall we hurry along with the wonderful?
.: My favourite person. I've spent the past two weeks with Fraser and have pretty much beamed from ear to ear for the entire time. Well apart from when I was pretending to be a very persistent mosquito and he got annoyed with me... Let's change that to most of the time! I feel so lucky to have someone in my life who can put the cheesiest grin on my face at any time and always has my back.
.: Rituals. We popped into a Rituals shop and the assistant tried out some of their new Happy Buddha range on us, it left our hands feeling silky smooth and wanting to buy the whole shop! Eek!
.: Fiestas. A month doesn't go by without some kind of fiesta in my town, to be honest it's numerous fiestas a month! We popped into town on Saturday to see the people towers being built. The little ones at the top are just so brave. It's such a great atmosphere, with everyone on tenterhooks, holding their breath until the child at the top reaches their spot, and then the crowd erupts into applause.
.: GirlBoss. As you know I've read the book and can't stop waxing lyrical about it, so we decided to watch the Netflix series this weekend. It's brilliant, makes you giggle and will definitely motivate you to get your bum in gear and take over the world!
.: Wise Words. I keep finding these gorgeous quotes and wise words on Pinterest and can't help but share them on Twitter, I just feel like they really pick me up at any given time. Do you love a good quote?
.: The Turtle Cafe. We hadn't been in ages, so popped in on Saturday afternoon. It looks like a normal run of the mill cafe from the outside, but out the back there's a little secret garden with a pond and lovely turtles doing their thang. A cold orange juice on a hot day under the trees there is just the ticket.
.: Spoilt Rotten. Fraser absolutely spoils me rotten. I have never been one for treating myself to clothes or anything that isn't an absolute essential. Fraser on the other hand, doesn't agree with this and got me these gorgeous leggings and new kicks from Oysho at the weekend! He also got me a new pair of sunglasses which will arrive on Monday, with prescription lenses so that I can actually see when I have them on! I really don't know what I did to deserve him.
.: Chips & Tonic Water. I LOVE a good glass of very cold tonic water, add a basket of chips into the mix in one of my favourite beach bars along with the sunset and I am all yours for the taking!
.: Lemon & Ginger Chilled Water. As you probably know I am a huge lover of lemon and ginger with hot water and lemon, but the heat is making this not quite so appetising. I've started making huge jugs full of icey water, slices of fresh ginger and lemon and it is just bliss.
.: The Furbabies. I can't write a Wonderful Wednesday post without them. They mean the absolute world to me, with their inquisitive characters and bang on punctuality when it comes to dinner time!
You can follow the furbabies on Instagram as @fourkaats
.: Friendship. I am so lucky to have such lovely friends. I only have a small group of friends, but oh my goodness are they amazing! After a my friend Maribel spotted my instagram story about feeling unwell she surprised me at work with this gorgeous smelling gift to lift my spirits.
.: Instagram. On the subject of the big Insta, I can't begin to explain how happy this little app makes me. The community on there is amazing, I had so many direct messages this morning wishing me better and sending me advice on natural remedies. It made me rather emotional.
I hope you have a truly wonderful Wednesday or whatever day it is for you as you read this. May it be filled with all the good stuff; tea, cuddles (doesn't have to be cat cuddles, but I do highly recommend them) biscuits and little rays of sunshine to brighten your day.
