Wonderful Wednesday 33 of 2018
Goodness me we're here again my loves! I can't believe how Summer is just whirring by in an absolute blitz. I can't quite keep up but I must say I'm secretly really looking forward to Autumn now. I can't wait for that cooler weather, blankets and jumpers, snuggling up early and slippers, oh slippers how I miss you! Shall we get on with the wonderful?!
Spanish Stuffed Onions.
I made these on Sunday evening and oh my goodness they are every kind of wonderful. Stuffed with tuna, pepper and a secret ingredient, slowly baked in a casserole dish in a white wine and tomato sauce. Eeeee I've written up the recipe and it'll be on the blog next Tuesday so keep your eyes peeled for that one!
It's that time again! I'm off to Cornwall tomorrow and I'm so excited about seeing friends and family. I haven't been back since Easter so there will be plenty to catch up on. I'm very much looking forward to all the cups of tea and lots of cuddles with plenty of fur-babies. I have to admit that I keep giving my own fur-babies plenty of cuddles, they will be in the very best hands whilst I'm away - my lovely mum and sister will pop in twice a day to feed them, check in on them and give them lots of cuddles. Over protective cat mum?! Me?!
Arthur Cat stayed out all night on Monday night, he knows this is very naughty and spent the whole of yesterday giving me lots of cuddles. It fascinates me how they can know these things and find ways to show they love you really!
I had a lovely catch up with a friend yesterday evening in town. Over the past few months I've not gotten out much - it's been a combination of excitedly working on content for this website, being a little under the weather with my joints and just enjoying my own company at home along with studying lots. It was lovely to get out though and actually speak to someone in real life that isn't a cat...
Apple & Blackberry Pie.
Will I stop banging on about this pie?! I don't think so because it is by far one of the best pies I have ever made, I think early morning blackberry picking most certainly helped make it even lovelier. It's gluten free, dairy free and refined sugar free with a sweet ginger and cinnamon pastry practically hugging the apple and blackberry filling inside.
Weekend Hashtag Project.
I really love taking part in Instagram's weekend hashtag project. Each Friday a new topic is announced and Instagram challenges everyone to get creative and take a photo to do with the topic. This weekend just gone was WHPCircles and so I created my dream circles inside of a circle....lots of tea!
Two Netflix Films.
Oh my goodness I adored both of these so much: To All The Boys I've Loved and Like Father. They're lighthearted comedies, the first reminded me of a modern day A Walk To Remember - WHAT A FILM, I was obsessed when that came out. Like Father is just brilliant, Kristen Bell is the leading role which makes me heart so happy, she's just lovely isn't she. I highly recommend a watch of both!
Morning Sing Song.
Yesterday morning as I uploaded each little 15second video to Instagram Stories of a video I recorded for IGTV on Society's Influence On Our Body Image & Food Thoughts, I stood in the kitchen having a little sing. Katie Cat gets really happy when I sing, she likes to climb onto my shoulders and purr into my ear. She always has done. I left school at the age of 16 to work as a singer in a hotel. I'd sit all day long playing my piano, learning new songs for that evening, with Katie Cat on my shoulders, 12 years later and she still loves a little sing song!
That's my wonderful for this week so far my lovelies, I'll be tip tapping away at my boyfriend's kitchen table with a chocolate brown labrador at my side the next time we chat! EEEEEEE!!!!
