Wonderful Wednesday 38 of 2018

Happy Wonderful Wednesday my loves, I hope you're having a lovely day whatever day you read this. I'm feeling really rather exhausted due to anaemia so I haven't got a whole lot to report this week although there are always some lovely little things to note down! I'm definitely practising a lot of self love and kindness this week!

A weekend of sorting.

In my Letters From Peta on Sunday I wrote about jotting down all of the niggly jobs around my home that need doing. From cracked walls that need painting to a new show head it's all down on a list. Each weekend I'm going to aim to tick something off. It's made me feel so much better about all of these things which, sub-consciously have been adding to a building anxious feeling. At the weekend I tackled the horrible glue left from velcro which was stuck around the windows for mosquito nets. It takes about an hour to do each one but I love how clean and wonderful it looks now, totally worth it!

Today I was feeling really rather poorly, anaemia tends to bring headaches, nausea and a crazy bouts of tiredness for me. At lunch time I did something I NEVER do. I made myself a yummy lunch - a baked sweet potato, got into bed and ate it whilst watching FRIENDS. It was just what I needed to give me that extra little bit of energy for this afternoon.

Chocolate Milk.

I've really been enjoying cold chocolate milk - rice milk, mixed with pure cacao powder, a pinch of salt and some honey. It's delightfully sweet and makes me feel all kinds of wonderful. Add a teaspoon of matcha green tea powder for an added kick of focus and concentration!

The Circle.

I'm not usually into reality TV shows but I am obsessed with The Circle. Is anyone else watching it? 8 people are in a block of flats together - think big brother, however they can't see each other in person. They interact with each other via a social media platform so cat fishing can and DOES happen. I find it so interesting to see the results of this social experiment and can't help but tune in every night.

Podcast Interview.

On Saturday I had my first ever podcast interview, I was chatting about food mentoring and how I coach lovely souls on eating, their relationship with food and untangling stories and thought patterns they've had for a lifetime. I kept thinking before hand "just don't mention the cats too much", within 10 seconds I had said the words "I'm a cat mum". Oops!! I'll let you know when the episode is up!!

Mind Your Business Podcast.

Talking of podcasts, I absolutely LOVED episode 189 of the mind your business podcast. It's an interview with a neuro-scientist who explains how the brain works in terms of limiting beliefs we have in such an easy-to-digest way. I highly recommend a listen!

A little acorn.

One of my little six year old students gave me an acorn on Monday. She had kept it safe, clasped in her little fist all day long until she saw me at 5pm and I just thought it was so sweet!

That’s my wonderful for this week my loves, I hope you’re having a delightful week so far. For more happiness please do pop over to the other ladies who take part in wonderful wednesday here: Sally,  JoHelenMichelleSarahKateCatSamEl Kerri's, and Ellie's
