Wonderful Wednesday Número 8 of 2018
Happy Wonderful Wednesday, can you believe it's Wednesday already?! I really can, it's felt like a very long week so far! Albert Cat is on the mend, and after a scary few days over the weekend and Monday, he is now on the road to recovery. I know it must sound silly, but the relief that he's going to be okay it like the biggest weight off my shoulders. All four of them are so special to me, and I just want to wrap them up in cotton wool and lock them inside forever. I actually messaged Fraser whilst at the vets on Monday, to tell him that I just wanted to pick Albert up off the table, where he was in so much pain whilst they prodded and poked him, and run away home, not letting anyone near him. Luckily I didn't!!
On that note, make sure you're all wrapped up warm and cosy, hot drink in hand and lets settle in for a quiet five of wonderfulness...
.: Hair Up.
I don't know what it is that makes me feel like thiiiiiis. (Chanelling my inner Jamelia here girls) Where was I ?! Yes! Hair! I love how my hair looks when it's down, all straightened and freshly washed but oh my goodness does it annoy the hell out of me. This week I've been french plaiting my hair down the side and working it into a bun, pinned in place at the back on my head. So, as I was saying, I don't know what it is, but having my hair up makes me feel a lot more in control, capable and able to take on the world. Anyone else feel like this?! When it's time to clean, cook and even when I'm teaching my hair is promptly piled into a messy bun on top of my head. I can concentrate so much more with it out of the way, I guess it's a little like turning the radio down in the car for parking, or when I'm lost. Anyone else?!
I've rediscovered my love of dates, not that I ever fell out of love with them (i'm talking about the sweet, delicious, yummy dried fruit here and not a romantic date). I just kind of forgot they existed for a while.
I had quite the washing moutain towering procariously upon Keith (the wicker chair in my bedroom) four loads of washing later and wardrobe service has resumed as normal! I did find that I wore clothes I wouldn't usually wear though whilst the clothes mountain grew bigger each day, which was a nice change.
I used to adore the colour pink, and then I went off it for a while but it's really catching my eye again now. It's such a happy colour isn't it? I think it's the blossom on the trees and the pretty instagram pics I'm seeing that are swaying me again.
.: Hot water bottles.
I've had plenty of sleepless nights looking after the ginger dude lately, and there's nothing nicer than climbing back into bed in the early hours of the morning to a still warm hot water bottle and a sleeping cat to cuddle. I've found that it's at those times when I'm just dropping off to sleep, that I think of how lucky I am to have a warm bed to snuggle into and fur babies to keep me company.
That's all of my wonderful so far this week, I'm off to the airport to pick Fraser up so I'm sure there will be plenty more wonderful over the next few days. I hope you're having such a lovely week and I'd love you to check out the other Wonderful Wednesday-ers here: Sally, Jo, Helen, Michelle, Sarah, Kate, Cat, Sam, El & Laura
