I understand your struggle.

You are trying your very best to juggle everything; work, family, friends, social events, hobbies, the washing, the ironing, the dishes and let’s not even think about the newest diet you’re trying and the body you’re quite literally fighting for. You have tried pretty much every diet going - paleo, keto, atkins, juicing, fasting. You’ve counted calories, sins and points. You’ve calculated how much exercise needs to be done to reach that elusive number on the back of those jeans. Taken before and after photos, stepped on the bathroom scales every morning and try to opt for the ‘healthy option’, even if it is the boring option. You’ve done the new year, new you, a pre-wedding diet and of course slimming for the Summer. You’ve lost count of how many times you’ve fallen off the bandwagon, started again on Monday, broken down and eaten the entire of the contents of the fridge, had more than one cheat day in the week and desperately wished you could just look like THEM, however they are. You've gotten your hopes up time and time again with a new diet suggestion only to feel deflated and at the end of your tether when it doesn't go to plan.

It worked for a while, you lost the weight but then you set another goal and reaching that second goal was much harder, the weight loss slowed down, and then it came to a stop, and then...well, then it started increasing again. Life took over, Christmas arrived, you felt under the weather or just lost that oomph that fueled your early morning gym visits. You’ve assured yourself that it’s okay, you just didn’t have the time, or the space, or the ability. You feel lost, hopeless and question how you can have a body you despise so much? How you can eat so much crap, when you know the all consuming guilt will kick in just as you finish the last mouth full? It’s a constant, uphill battle against your body, food and even, at times, your mind, which you feel you will never win. It’s all you can think about, it’s taken over your life and you have no fight left in you.

There is another way.

You CAN find peace with your body, there IS a way to calm your mind and begin thinking about other things, more important things. In order to create a neutral relationship with food and accept your body, first we need to work on mindset. Dieting and exercising for weight loss teaches you how to restrict and punish your body. If you want to find long lasting peace within yourself, you will need to learn how to tune into what your body really needs, to eat intuitively and to move and stretch your body rather than chastise it. You have to uncover and untangle eating behaviours, food stories and thoughts which have had a lifetime to settle and grow roots. This requires so much more than a diet, designed for someone else’s body, with rules which don’t suit your everyday life. To achieve this you need the tools, knowledge, empowerment and self compassion Nourishing Soulfully Coaching can provide you with.

Instead of feeling lost, desperate and embarrassed, coaching will enable you to:

  • Feel empowered and in control

  • Neutral in regards to food and eating

  • Discover a deep sense of love and respect for your body

  • Uncover and understand your behaviours and thought patterns

  • Care for and accept yourself

  • Enjoy the foods that make you feel good.

Here’s what others think.

Women and men just like you have embarked on their own transformative empowerment journeys. Here’s what Lucy has to say about her experience in working with me through Nourishing Soulfully coaching:

“Peta is so much more than someone who is able to advise us about food (although she is a qualified eating psychology coach) because she really has been on one heck of a journey with her own body and what she can eat to maintain optimum health. This lovely lady really is one of the sweetest, most approachable and non-judgmental humans you could work with when it comes to these emotional, deep-rooted issues and will never tell you what you 'should' be eating or what you 'should' be doing; she simply helps you un-pack your own thoughts and patterns in a really friendly, helpful, realistic and kind way.

I honestly cannot recommend her enough because she has really helped me so much. For me, food is the biggest issue in my life and everything surrounding it: body image, binge-eating, restrictive eating... you name it; so to finally work alongside someone who is not clinical and will listen and react out of love and not judgement is truly a big relief for me.

The way I look at it is you have two choices.

Choice one: you can continue to try different diets, restrict food, punish your body and feel you’re not enough.

Choice two: you can discover and understand your personal food stories and eating behaviours. Grow confidence in food, mind and body. You can uncover and untie where the thought patterns, mindsets and behaviours come from, working towards a healthy relationship with food.

With my gentle guidance you can discover the foods that make YOU feel good and together we can find a way to include those foods in your life more often. You can learn how to listen to your body and eat intuitively, find the weight your body is naturally happiest at. You can create a mindfulness practice in your day to day life.

You can discover that there is a life beyond food fear. Feel empowered with tools to continue on your neutral relationship with food and eating which will last a lifetime.

Only you can decide which choice to take. I promise you that if you take that huge leap of faith to work with me, you will notice shifts and transformations in your mindset, how you think about food and how you feel about your body. If you are ready to embark on the final leg of your food and body image journey, I would be honoured to be your guide.
